Delighted to find that this wet led pub across the road from The Bull in Charlbury serves Salopian's Oracle. Great pint and lovely friendly service surrounded by locals.

Superb proper pub. So many pubs in affluent and pretty Cotswold villages are essentially expensive restaurants, but this one is the real thing. Excellent cask ales, friendly locals and a warm welcome. Highly recommended.

The real deal. I love bringing visitors here, a proper community pub with a buzzing atmosphere and an ever changing selection of fantastic ales and ciders.

Totally deserves its consistently high rating from CAMRA, ale kept perfectly, landlady friendly and attentive. Locals are proper good old boys.

You won't find a more authentic and true country pub than this fabulous gem. It doesn't win countless awards by chance. It is simple, it is honest, prices are proper and the atmosphere authentic. A gastro pub it does not try to be. Visit here and be prepared to be captured by great beer, friendly people and a hangover the next day!!!

Popped in this evening for a quick drink in a village we know very well and boy was I disappointed!! Should have gone to the Bull Inn. Unless you're a local and a regular don't bother with this place.. Landlady totally ignored me, served two people before me who came in after me, was blatantly rude and ignorant by the time she did get around to serving me. My dear, that ignorant behaviour has cost you a customer and yes we are local, and it's cost you this negative review!! Try being polite to all your customers not just the regulars!!

This is the best pub I've ever been to, and I love popping to real ale pubs wherever I find them. Wooden panels, dark walls, unexpected musical selections, lovely people. The beer selection is always amazing, loads of really good real ales and ciders whatever your taste. Can't praise the management and staff highly enough and whatever I say will sound cheesy BUT they make you feel really welcome, their warm smiles (you can tell even now that they wear masks) behind the bar are a real relief at the end of a busy day and they are all altogether beautiful people. Never felt most at home.
